Murder, Mystery Evening

At Sue's - 30th August 1994

A murder mystery game set aboard the Enterprise was acted out at Sue's house. The player's were as follows:

 It was the end of August, and the Energise group was in great preparation for a get together but it was no ordinary Tuesday. There were some funny looking people around.

Data arrived at Energise homebase, straight from the holodeck, in his Holmes mode, and after Beverley had done her hair, we set off for the Kingsnorth base. We were amazed how very different our Klingon looked, a definite early Worf, after the new make-up staff had been to work on him. Next they made up our usual Ferengi to be Deanna - what a transformation. More like Julian Clary than Deanna. After 'it' had been upstairs having women's troubles with 'its' humps, more like a Dromedary than a Bactrian, he/she made an entrance and tried to get friendly with any males in the room. The other members of the cast were Ensign Ro with excellent nosebumps, Guinan - complete with large hat, Geordi and Riker. After a photo call, we all settle around the table to await instructions from the tape.

The Enterprise was in orbit around Delphi 4. The day previous eight members of an Away Team had beamed down to the surface of the planet to retrieve the legendary and mystical Orb of Knowledge, an object of immense power and wisdom. The Orb was placed on board the Enterprise, under guard in the science lab.

To celebrate the discovery of the Orb, Captain Picard had invited us to join him for dinner. We were in the banquet room awaiting his arrival. We were all surprised to hear from Admiral Di Lithium that the Orb had been stolen. We were ordered to discuss the situation and try to work out who the guilty party was. We were given information that we had to reveal or keep secreat about what we had been up to. The doctor, Rom Eulan, apparently had been a very busy man, entertaining at least two of the female crew in the same evening. Things got very confusing with different people being seen with different coloured bags at various times.

After round 2, we stopped for refreshments: blue rice, red liquorice, marshmallows, strange coloured coconut ice, chocolate cake, other cakes, doughnuts, etc., and other interesting food.

At the end it appeared that we had all been guilty and had all been trying to the return the Orb. We all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and had a good laugh.
